My name is Saskia. I’m a portrait photographer, and I combine the art of creating striking portraits with the deep insights of Chinese Face Reading.
My goal is not only to capture the most personal and beautiful portraits, but also to remind the people I photograph of the beauty that already lives within them.
The Face Behind ‘True You Portrait’
I see myself as a creative and empathetic person. I believe in the power of natural beauty and strive to capture honesty and authenticity in every portrait.
In a world full of filters, retouching, and unnatural poses, I choose to portray the pure essence of each individual. This means I keep Photoshop editing to a minimum in order to preserve the authenticity—and above all, the purity—of every portrait.

Both on the outside and the inside. That’s why people are able to let go in front of my camera, and I can create portraits that reveal so much more than just an image.
With 15 years of experience as a professional photographer—and over 40 years immersed in photography—I’ve literally photographed thousands of people.
After about 10 years working professionally, I started noticing how easily I could "read" people. Around that same time, I was introduced to Chinese Face Reading. For me, it was a clear *1 + 1 = 3* moment.
The theory behind Chinese Face Reading felt so intuitive to me that I knew I wanted to do something truly special with it. And I could. So, in 2025, I made the decision to fully focus on portrait photography combined with Chinese Face Reading. I said goodbye to all other types of photography.
In Chinese Face Reading, I am a Fire type—bringing passion and energy into everything I do. My greatest drive is making sure people around me (and myself) are having a good time. I’ll go out of my way to make that happen.
If someone feels uncomfortable or not at ease, I sense it in a split second—and I’ll do everything I can to shift that energy.
My ideal world is one of mutual respect, where we understand each other without judgment. One of my personal mottos is: *You can’t judge a man if you haven’t walked a mile in his shoes.*
Outside of work, I’m a mother in a beautiful family with two teenagers and a wonderful husband.
What I love most about our family is that the four of us each represent a different element from the Five Elements of Chinese Face Reading—Water, Wood, Fire, and Metal. It takes a lot of patience and understanding, but it’s fascinating to witness how each of us brings something unique to the whole.
**The goal of my photography is to help people see how beautiful they already are.**
Throughout my years of experience with studio and on-location portraits, I’ve heard so many people say they don’t like being photographed because they don’t think they’re beautiful—or because they never like how they look in photos.
That always breaks my heart to hear.
